Volunteering today to make the difference
for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Charity

We need your help

We have big ambitions for the coming years.

We need people like you to become volunteers and ambassadors for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Charity within our hospitals and in the community. You can do this by giving your time to help with our efforts.

Some of the ways you can help:

  • Become a gardening volunteer and help with weeding and litter picking
  • Become a fundraising champion in your local area
  • Writing letters of thanks to our wonderful donors / supporters
  • Supporting our events with behind the scenes organising and preparations as well as helping in person at the events
  • Bucket collections at events and outside supermarkets
  • Leaflet distribution
  • Representing the charity at community events

Current volunteer opportunities

As a gardener you will work within a small team supervised by our Head Gardener keeping all the courtyards and open spaces around the hospitals looking their best. The tasks are varied from weeding and dead heading, to planting and repairing.

As an ambassador you will man our stand in the hospital and at events to explain what the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Charity does, encouraging people to take part in events and fundraise.

Lottery Promoter

As an East Sussex Healthcare lottery promoter you’ll help promote our local lottery in and around our hospitals and at events, explaining how it works, how to sign up and how the money raised is spent.
